What if the life Jesus calls us to looks completely different from the life our world celebrates? In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus introduces us to the values and character of people who belong to the Kingdom of Heaven. This isn’t just a list of rules to follow or behaviors to imitate—it’s a picture of the kind of people Jesus is transforming us into. Kingdom people live differently because they belong to a different Kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we are called out of the world’s way of living and into God’s new way of life.
